Polygon Address Lookup

What Is a Polygon Address?

A Polygon address is a 42-character hexadecimal string starting with 0x that uniquely identifies a wallet or smart contract on the Polygon PoS network. Because Polygon is EVM-compatible, the same address format is shared with Ethereum, making cross-chain asset management straightforward.

Viewing Wallet Balances

Paste any address into the search box to view its current POL balance, all ERC-20 token balances, and NFT holdings. Balances are updated in real time as new blocks are confirmed, ensuring you always see the latest state of the wallet.

Transaction History and Analytics

Our address page shows a complete chronological list of all inbound and outbound transactions, including internal transactions triggered by smart contracts. You can filter by token type, date range, or transaction direction to quickly locate specific activities.

Smart Contract vs. EOA Addresses

There are two types of Polygon addresses: Externally Owned Accounts (EOA) controlled by private keys, and Contract Accounts containing deployed bytecode. Our explorer automatically distinguishes between the two and provides contract-specific tools such as ABI decoding, source code verification status, and read/write interface access.

Address Labels and Privacy

Well-known addresses such as exchange hot wallets, protocol treasuries, and bridge contracts are automatically labeled on our explorer. This makes it easy to understand fund flows without needing to research each counterparty manually.
